This is a quick example-script i made, for running 5 bainshees. It’s only purpose is to show, how HKN can be used.
I’ve tried putting relevant comments in the script, but if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a comment 🙂
Here we go:
// Label syntax: <Label NameOfLabel Local/IP SendMode NameOfWindow>
// I have defined 2 labels for each toon; 1 with SendWin-sendmode, for pushing qbars etc., and one with SendWinS for sending <Text> commands (ex <Text /assist Randomname-Ywain1>)
<Label Bain1 Local SendWin “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain1s Local SendWin “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain2 192.168.1.101 SendWin “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain2S 192.168.1.101 SendWinS “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain3 192.168.1.103 SendWin “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain3S 192.168.1.103 SendWinS “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain4 192.168.1.106 SendWinSF “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain4S 192.168.1.106 SendWinS “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain5 192.168.1.107 SendWin “Dark Age of Camelot”>
<Label Bain5S 192.168.1.107 SendWinS “Dark Age of Camelot”>
// Now to the hotkeys
// To send your keys to specific toons, you’ll be using the command “SendLabel”. SendLabel has the following syntax: <SendLabel LabelName1[, LabelName2, LabelName3,…]>
// Like this:
<Hotkey Q>
<SendLabel Bain1, Bain2, Bain3, Bain4, Bain5>
<Key 1>
// Once i push Q on my keyboard, HKN will send 1 to all of my bains.
// I could also do something different on the toons:
<Hotkey R>
<SendLabel Bain1>
<Key 2>
<SendLabel Bain2, Bain3>
<Key 3>
<SendLabel Bain4, Bain5>
<Key 5>
// With build 208 you’re able to use the “Text”-command almost as if you pushed a qbar because of the new sendmode-mechanics.
// This opens up for uses like this:
<Hotkey T>
<SendLabel Bain2S, Bain3S, Bain4S, Bain5S>
<Text /assist BainName1-Ywain1>
// This works just like if you had an assist-macro on your quickbar, except this is a nice way of doing it, if you want to be able to quickly change the toon you want to assist.
// That way you could copy the script to all 5 bains, edit the names in the <Text>-command, and you’d be able to make all of the bains assist the toon you’re controlling, nomatter
// which one you’re actually playing!

Hey man,
(not sure if this is TVR or not..but hey if it is, this is Invy, i ran with you before, and also irish 🙂 )
anyway, i want to try make a quick macro group, just a 4 sm, 2 shaman and healer, just want to PL and use for getting plat, not gonna rvr or sell plat, just trying to get my mates back in the game and getting them 50 and tempted is the best way,
i have one computer, i have downloaded the HKN 2.10, not sure if its working, but seems to be, lottacam is doing the job with the rest, im literally terrible with computers and programming, can you give a script that i can upload and hit and they all PB / Group Heal… all i need 🙂 i dont mind toggling through to do quests or what ever, just need a basic script, but no idea how to, your instructions kinda veer towards people having several comps.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Hey Invy!
This isn’t Tvr 🙂 Although I ran with him a lot, back in the days.
I haven’t really done any kind of HKN scripting the past few years, so can’t really help you out. From what I reckon, you should be able to ‘salvage’ the functionality you need, from the example script here on the page 🙂
Oh and sorry for the 4-month reply time 😉 For some reason I’m not getting notifications, when people comment on the blog.
